About NOVA
NOVA is the student UAV and UAS laboratory of Politehnica Bucharest, hosted by the CAMPUS research institute in partnership with EUROAVIA Bucharest. Two branches — AIM for fixed-wing aircraft, AEROS for multirotor drones — designing, building, and flying competition UAVs for international UAV events.
Latest result
9th place, from 34 teams
V-SIX is our fixed-wing UAV (4.73 kg MTOW, 2.5 m wingspan) built for Air Cargo Challenge 2026, Europe's largest aeromodelling challenge, hosted in Stuttgart.
It carried 2.1 kg of payload (6 standard 330 ml cans) over a distance mission, competing against 34 teams. We finished 9th — NOVA's best fixed-wing result to date.
